In the wake of the Global Financial Crisis, the affordable property sector has emerged not only as an attractive investment solution, but also as a secure and ethical vehicle for wealth creation.
Kerrie’s vision: Ethical Investment Trust
Kerrie’s vision is to create a Philanthropic Investment Trust that allows everyday Australians and Corporations to contribute to Affordable Residential housing development.
Funds and Fund Management
Investments can be made either by:
- donation
- receiving a taxable donation ATO benefit
- receiving commercial interest returns on the investment
Any surpluses made by these Affordable residential projects will be returned to the fund to increase equity and to create more Affordable housing to meet the need of the communities we operate in.
Contributions In Kind
The Ethical Investment Trust will promote co-operation across the development industry and partner with government to have the development costs of our projects reduced through:
- contributions of time by professional consultants
- donations of building products by suppliers
- reductions and relaxations in infrastructure charges levied by government.
Kerrie’s Dream – Common Ground Gold Coast
Common ground “Homelessness to Housing” projects exist in most capital cities of Australia. This model of housing works best in an inner urban environment. Kerrie has begun lobbying for support through Local Government on the Gold Coast and will continue to update interested parties on the progress of this worthy and economically beneficial project.
Kerrie Young Property provides ethical development services through:
Sustainable Building Practices – research and analysis of design, construction and operational practices that reduce environmental footprint.
Partnering – with community and not for profit organisations in housing developments.
Tenancy management – to ensure investors investment is properly cared for, and that rent is received.
